Between the 16th and 18th centuries, the Kitt family from Zurich was connected to the world in various ways: They traded in spices, provided mercenaries, produced Indiennes, were involved in triangular trade and speculated in settlers' land.
Ina Boesch went in search of traces in Zurich, the Caribbean and the USA. Using individual figures as examples, she shows how early, continuously and naturally the merchants from Zurich were globalized.
