Gegen den Strom – the protest of the frogs

The farthest part of the Madris, which is part of Bergell, would have been flooded without the resistance of shepherds, environmentalists and the people from Avers. In 1985, Kraftwerke Hinterrhein AG planned to build a reservoir in Avers’ side valley. The project was buried thirtheen years later. – The Federal Council had declared the marshland as protected national territory, and the profitability of the power point was no longer considered warranted.
